In these next two cards, we see the front and back sides of a federal election postcard scheduled to be held on Monday, October 26, 1908. Robert Borden (left) was the leader of the Conservative Party. Robert Abercrombie Pringle (right) (1855 –1922) was born in Cornwall, Canada West, the son of Judge J. F. Pringle and Isabella Fraser. Robert was educated in Cornwall public and high schools and graduated from Queen’s University. A lawyer, he was treasurer of the town of Cornwall. He was elected to the House of Commons for Cornwall and Stormont in the 1900 federal election. A Conservative, he was re-elected in the 1904 election but was defeated by Liberal Robert Smith in 1908.
