The Roxy Theatre features “Guest Wife” with Claudette Colbert and Don Ameche. This comedy hit arrived on the silver screen in 1945. The theatre was first known as the Port Theatre. The sign at left says “Do all your shopping at Smolkins Dept Store complete outfitters for family & home.” Notice the steps going down to the road. Today steps are going into the theatre, while the sidewalk is level with the road. The card shows homes on both sides of the Roxy Theatre. Today there is a parking lot on the left and on the right is #134 an office building.
