The Cornwallis has been modernized once again with a colourful neon sign over its door. The coffee shop (far right) also has a neon sign and has gained an additional doorway to keep out the cold north wind. The sign fastened at the hotel’s top says “Hotel [Fireproof] Cornwallis.

A small portion of the Texaco garage is visible on the left. The Hotel was demolished in 1982.
