The routes of Cornwall Transit.

The interior of the brochure extolls the virtues of the trolley coach. Cornwall’s Belt Line was used by thousands of Cornwallites. The trolley buses were electrified overhead by dual electric wires and traveled quietly and efficiently along Pitt to Water Street, up Water to Cumberland and across Cumberland to Ninth, then back to Pitt Street again. To accommodate the working public a second route turned off Cumberland, traveling along Seventh Street to York and back to Ninth Street. There was also a route along Second Street, traveling from Courtaulds in the east past Howard Smith Paper Mill to Riverdale in the west thereby linking the two major factories in the city; Courtaulds and Howard Smith (Domtar) Top photo in the brochure shows the buses at Courtaulds. The lower photo is in front of City Hall.
