This pre-1932 postcard shows (on right) The red brick Royal Bank of Canada next to the grey stone Post Office. Further south towards the river (and across Second Street) is the large red brick building of the Bank of Commerce (now Fullerton’s Drug Store). On the left are the bay windows of the King George Hotel and across Second Street, the building that would eventually house Archie Dover’s Men’s Clothing shop.
The overprinting (at the top of the card) for CPR looks modern and indicates the Railway was using this older card as a souvenir for travelers for many years.
