Canada Steamship Lines is combined with a great photo of Shirley’s Restaurant and all of the businesses in the Hotel block. Note the round Texaco sign for the garage next to the Hotel. The steeple for Knox Church (Later Knox-St. Paul) is visible to the East (left). The steeple was later removed. To the right of Shirley’s Restaurant is the office of Monroe & Cottrell Insurance. Laker CSL Meaford was scrapped in 1959, being too small for the modern Seaway. 

It seems ironic that the “Seaway City” is using a photo of the demolished canal and rapids as part of it’s bragging rights.
