The Wonderland movie theatre was located on the East side of Pitt near Third Street (where the Walker Store was later located.) The Walker Store was lost in the Great Fire of 1933. The stage of the Wonderland also hosted live entertainment. Joseph White, born 15 Sep 1859 and brother of Margaret White Primeau won many prizes playing fiddle at the Wonderland’s amateur nights. Notice the piano on the left in front of the stage. Piano accompaniment was an important part of silent films.
