On August 11, 1906, as part of the 1906 Old Boys Reunion, a large crowd gathered in front of the Court House on Water Street to watch the Hose Fight put on by the Fire Brigade. The smoky steam engine (at right) provides pressure for the hoses which can be seen curving into the canal. There is no doubt that spectators got wet!
