Cornwall adopted the name “The Seaway City.” This mural features (left) River transportation running the Long Sault Rapids. The canal was an integral part of the Town and City. In the mid-1950s the flooding for the St. Lawrence Seaway caused much destruction. The mural depicts the moving of homes (right) to their new locations in Ingleside and Long Sault and, in the center of the mural, the moving of Christ’s Church, Moulinette to Upper Canada Village.
