Trinity Church

Trinity Church

“Episcopalian” (written in the bottom left corner) is the early term for “Church of England” or “Anglican”, and the term is still used in the United States today. Notice the shed at the right. It is probably a horse shed. Trinity was built on a raft of logs – or it was supposed to be – no remains of the logs have ever been found. The church sagged alarmingly for a while and the heavy spire was removed. Today a light aluminum spire has been installed over the bell tower. Nine bells make up the chime of the Trinity Church bell tower.
