Some projects moved faster than expected in days gone by the wall is going up at a great pace. By the third day, the washout was blocked off and work started on a by-pass ditch. July 17, canal traffic was moving again although the water flow was not fully restored because the ditch was narrow. It was being dug wider though. The canal was repaired and the bridge was soon restored to serve for many years.
