This is a photograph taken about 1969 from the Seaway International Bridge looking east. Streets were not heavily salted and in spring the less traveled roads had deep ruts and pot holes in the snow. The outlines of two large skating rinks can be seen in the canal snow – awaiting a quick shovel after school before the next game begins.
